Are you interested in knives ?

Are you a hunter, a fisherman or outdoor person ?

Do you consider knives as collectors items or do you make knives, wonderful tools ?

Then maybe Dansk Knivforening could be of your interest.

The purpose of Dansk Knivforening

Many old crafts are endangered and some have already disappeared. This was one of the reasons for the founding of Dansk Knivforening in 1993 in co-operation with Dansk Husflidsselskab (Danish society for handicrafts) and the museum for hunting and forestry in Hoersholm, Denmark

Dansk Knivforening work to stimulate and further advance Danish knife traditions, and to increase the interest for and knowledge about the knife and it’s history.

Dansk Knivforening is an independent association, but it still has a connection to Dansk Husflidsselskab and the Museum for Hunting and Forestry. 4 times a year the association publishes a periodical, called Dansk Knivforening, in which you can read about all the things going on among Danish and Scandinavian knife makers and other knife interested people.

Activities

Dansk Knivforening arranges knife maker meetings, exhibitions and Danish and Scandinavian competitions.

Furthermore knife seminars and courses are arranged, including subjects like blade forging, handle making, leather work and work in bone, horn and silver.
